Finally, an environmentally responsible and affordable way for consumers to give gifts. We want you to make a statement with your gift giving while expressing our motto of "Be Good to the Earth".
That's why we say: Goodbye Greeting Cards,
Hello MOC.
About MOC
MOC was born when owner Nicki; a mom of triplet girls and avid recycler often felt traditional greeting cards were not always necessary. Nicki’ s philosophy, Be Good to the Earth, meant helping to reduce paper waste, not creating more. Therefore, when she started designing her own line of gift tags she knew ‘throw away’ envelopes or other wasteful packaging materials were not required. MOC products are made from 100% recycled materials; therefore MOC's save time and money without having to compromise on style and elegance.
FACTS ABOUT PAPER
Postconsumer fiber: Finished paper products that have been sold and have served their original purpose. As contained in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), postconsumer material is "paper, paperboard and fibrous wastes from retail stores, office buildings, homes and so forth after they have passed through their end-usage as a consumer item, including used corrugated boxes, old newspapers, old magazines, mixed waste paper, tabulating cards and used cordage; and all paper, paperboard and fibrous wastes that enter and are collected from municipal solid waste".
Out of every $10 spent buying things, $1 (10%) goes for packaging that is thrown away. Packaging represents about 65% of household trash.
The majority of the 7 billion greeting cards purchased in the US each year are discarded.
